God Bless our veterans, all those who serve and have served our country. My grandfather served in World War I and was in France on November 11th, 1918 at 11:00 am when the Armistice went into force marking the end of the Great War (he sketched this date and time on his canteen that has been passed down). The following year on 11/11/19 was the first Armistice Day. President Eisenhower changed the name to Veterans Day in 1954.
